Guide Anomalies

In EVE echoes, one of the main way to earn ISK is called ratting, you kill pirates and CONCORD ( the npc faction that is basicaly the police in EVE) will pay you bounties for your service. The bounty will vary based on the "size" of the pirate ship and if this is an elite or not as well.

Every system in the universe can have 3 main types of anomalies :

  1. Base
  2. Base Anomalies
    • Small
    • Medium
    • Large
    • Special
      • Inquisitor
      • Scout
      • Deadspace
  3. System Anomalies
    • Small
    • Medium
    • Large
Those 3 main types have themself a level attached that will make the anomalies more or less dangerous and profitable.

Every system will have a pirate base, it can only have one base and it will always start at level 1.
The level of the base will raise continuously based on a formula until it reach the maximum permited by the system.
This level will determine the maximum of Base Anomaly that will be able to spawn.

Here is the detail per Base Level :

As an example a Base level 1 will try to level up every 1h and has 8% chance of success.

The level of the Base will determine the level of the "Base Anomaly" that will spawn in the system, so even if you are in nullsec in a -0.7 system if the base is level 1 it will only spawn level 1 Base anomaly.

It is really important to not kill the base as it would mean you would go back to level 1 and the special anomaly ( scout/inquisitor and deadspace) would go back to be level 1 again if one spawn.

A Base will do a check at a fixed interval (see below table) and will spawn one Base Anomaly to fill any missing until reaching the maximum allowed (cf. base level)

A Base Anomaly can be one of the 4 main types:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
  • Special
    • Inquisitor
    • Scout
    • Deadspace

Small / Medium and Large represent the "Difficulty" and number of Pirate ship that will be in those anomaly.
The main goal is to try to spawn a Special one, that will be called either Inquisitor,Scout or Deadspace ( name can change based on the pirate faction but it is the same logic.), this is where the real money will be.

Here is the detail of the chance to spawn a type of Base Anomaly :

A System anomaly is an anomaly that will always be at the full level based on the system security status and does not change even if the base is level 1 or max.
there will be a maximum of 5 system anomaly and will always account for half of the total numbers of anomaly the system can get.

Farming system anomaly is the same as a base anomaly the only difference is that they will never spawn any special anomaly ( the scout/inquisitor/deadspace).
